The Digital Production Partnership (DPP) is an industry body founded by ITV, BBC and Channel 4. The DPP’s Committed to Security Programme was announced at IBC 2017 and provides members with a means of demonstrating that they are following security best practices. Piksel started the process for certification with DPP late October and gained certification in January 2018.
Completion of the Committed to Security programme confirms that a company follows the best possible cybersecurity practices around media content in the eyes of the DPP.
The programme is split into separate checklists for both Broadcast and Production environments. Each checklist outlines the security technologies, testing and best practices seen to be essential to cybersecurity by the DPP.
As of right now, Piksel are one of only 17 companies to have met the Committed to Security programme requirements (but this group is expected to grow significantly during 2018 and beyond).
